Hello and Happy New Year!
After fifteen months of preparation which consisted primarily of both getting permission and re-formatting the script; scoring the songs with accompaniment; countless meetings with necessary parties concerning political correctness and theological accuracy plus asking folks who are willing to hold me accountable to what I say I'm going to do - we finally had our first official run-through this afternoon. Despite four no-shows of principle characters we managed to disperse the 10 principle roles between the six participants. All in all it went pretty smoothly and, but for a few typos that are easily correctable and a few awkward moments of matching music to action (and vice versa!) - it worked!
I am going to take a much needed break for a few days to reconnect with myself and my extremely patient and enduring husband and will be in touch again soon to arrange another gathering of interested parties for "Don't You Think It's Time?"; Chapter 2 of 2022.
