Woot woot!
We now have an administrative assistance team who are drawing up budgets for our official production and working towards grant applications as well as proposals to our professional service communities for our upcoming sitzprobe scheduled for March (hopefully) at the Port Theatre (date and venue to be confirmed by next week).
We also have a production assistant helping with both rehearsal scheduling and note-taking. (Yippee!)
Now, we need only 5 more cast members to make up our team!
BRANDON: senior high school graduate; smart and kind, ambitious and naively idealistic. He is confused by his growing feelings of love for AGI. (6 solos, 3 duets)
*GEORGE: BRANDON’S Dad; solid and fair-minded mill foreman (1 duet)
*BOSS: BRANDON’S BOSS; truth-seeking, affable and hardworking newspaper man.(1 duet)
MICK: AGI and BRANDON’S agent; shrewd and conscientious, straight-shooter. (1 solo)
LEON: AGI’S ‘smooth operating’ drug-dealing boyfriend; a loner, cynical, and superficial. (1 duet)
THUG: LEON’S sidekick, also a soulful singer, simple and straight. (1 duet, 1 solo)
TRIO: 1 of 3 characters symbolizing God’s presence throughout; off-beat and colourful. (2 solos, 25 BGs)
*George/Boss could be played by one person.
(Each participant is paid a maximum of 12 hours at per week minimum wage (15.20 per hour) for scheduled rehearsals and performance time).
